Josephine P: Over the past 14 years, my husband who is full of arthritis, has had 5 back surgeries and now suffers from terrible lower back pain which also travels down his left leg. The unrelenting leg pain he was experiencing every morning and evening had reached the point of affecting his quality of life. We are a team in facing health challenges, so I was along for the ride to provide moral support and an extra set of ears. Last month, while my husband was relaxing during his moxa treatment, Dr. Zhu noticed that I was pale and asked how I was feeling. I said that I hadn’t slept well the night before and was just tired, but I was always tired. He asked if I would let him to help me with that, as well, since I was there already. We did one round of cupping and moxa, which warmed and relaxed me. After that, he began moxa and acupuncture to combat the neuropathy in my feet and toes. What a difference! After 8 sessions, I have much more energy, my toes have relaxed and my feet feel 100% better, so much so, that I have stopped taking a medication that wasn’t doing anything!

I had suffered with pain in my right heel every time I took a step and nothing I had tried was helping. After my first treatment I was able to stand on my right foot with no pain at all. Victoria T: I have chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia that has been worsened by a steroid taper. I got stuck on steroids after being treated for poison ivy and am now on a slow taper. So with lower cortisol in my body my pain and fatigue is greatly worsened. I came to Dr Zhu because I couldn’t get out of bed and my pain was worse. Basically I couldn’t function.
