The standard techniques at the Harmony AIM:
Acupuncture (manual): fine needles are inserted into the patient's body to regulate Qi's flow—the most commonly used technique. It may be combined with moxibustion and cupping.
Moxibustion: a moxa stick will be placed in a box and put on the patient's skin. It is commonly used for cold, pain, weakness, and organ deficiency, as well as Yang deficiency.
Chinese Herbal Medicine: mixed, combined formula from 10-20 ingredients. Commonly used for Qi deficiency, internal organs ' dysfunctions, and insomnia.
Electro-acupuncture: An electro-stimulator will be placed on the needles. Electricity will move the needles consistently. The application is similar to manual acupuncture, but it produces a smooth, consistent effect.
Scalp Acupuncture: Acupuncture needles are inserted horizontally into the scalp based on the brain cortex functional areas. Particularly useful for central neurological diseases, for example, Parkinson's disease, tics, and dystonia.
Cupping: cups will be placed on the patient's body (commonly the back). It takes three steps: Flush Cupping, Slide Cupping, and Stationary Cupping. Widely used to remove cold invasion, injury, and open up the Meridians.
Micro-bleeding: with a lancet to bleed on the ears for less than 1 ml. Commonly used for anxiety, high blood pressure, and fever.
Fu's subcutaneous needling (FSN): using specially designed needle equipment, it works in the subcutaneous tissue to relieve tension on nerves. Commonly used to treat facial and musculoskeletal pain.
Pi acupuncture: it is one of the nine needles in the Huangdi Neijing. Commonly used to treat the fascia pain at a certain point. It takes a minute to see the result. Works fast.
Cheng's acupuncture: the most common acupuncture style in China. I apprenticed with Cheng's fourth generation. Commonly used for most diseases and symptoms.
Health and wellness coaching: provide FREE bedside consultation during treatment.
